According to the Daily Mail Manchester United striker Michael Owen is a surprise loan target for Championship outfit Bristol City.
The 30 year old ex-England international has just recovered from a hamstring injury that curtailed his involvement last term and he could get the chance to work back to full fitness in the West Country.
City have already pulled off one coup with the free transfer signing of England World Cup.
